Hey Everyone!
What a glorious day for Chase. He was able to accomplish some huge milestones today. From a sitting position he pushed himself up into a standing position w/ assistance of his therapist helping him balance using his own strength in his legs to stand. No devise helping him or supporting him to stand at all. Then he was wanting to walk. (one determined boy) With his therapist only using a gait belt around his waist to help him with his balance and support, he was able to take walking steps himself. He was a little wobbly but THIS IS A HUGE MILESTONE! WE WERE PRAISING GOD EVERY STEP. Mrs. Monica told Chase after his session that he did so well taking his first walking steps and he responded, Oh- it was Jesus that helped me do that. He really touched us all when he said those words.
Unfortunately Chase is not able to eat once again. His stomach could not tolerate the food he ate yesterday and his lipase levels went back up. Going to have to wait and try again next week. We will continue to pray for God to heal his pancreas.

- My name is Chase Wiggins. I am 6 years old and in the 1st grade at Ranburne Elementary School. I am very active outdoors and love playing with my friends. My mom's name is Lisa and my dad is Dwayne. I have a big brother Dylan, I love him so much I call him my bubba. I also have lots of family and friends who LOVE me! I am a very sweet and loving child. You can see that in my smile. Everyone says that I am a sight! I love the beach, swimming, fishing, and pretty much anything that is outside. I like to go camping and have all my friends over swimming during the summer. I have a new nick name, they call me Super Chase and I am a survivor!

Chase-We are so proud of you. It's so amazing that you are already beginning to walk again. Soon your therapists will be having to run down the hall to catch you. You are such a strong individual. Prais God for this progress. We love you and pray for you each day. Keep up the hard work

Way to go SUPERCHASE! And you are right it was Jesus that was helping you walk! You are so amazing & such an inspiration!!! Don't give up on the eating, with everyone praying it won't be long until you will be eating again!

What precious words from a child. Keep that thought in your head Chase and "He" will not fail you. I wish you could have seen all of the kids that wore their shirt in honor of you today. You are so loved by each and everyone. We miss you and are continuing to pray for your precious little body.

I was really suprised at how much
Chase had improved when we visited on tuesday.
he is such a great kid
we had a great time playing go fish and watching him try to see how high he could kick his legs.
